Ahwatukee Foothills: Ahwatukee is an Indian word meaning
"house of my
dreams" or "magic place of my dreams." This southern development hugs
the southeastern border of 16,500-acre South Mountain Park. The Kyrene and
Tempe school districts have outstanding ratings.
Northeast Valley: The northeast section of the Valley of the Sun
consists of
Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills and Carefree/Cave Creek.
Scottsdale is known for the resort destination for the sun and recreation.
Paradise Valley is a residential town as idyllic as the name implies. Fountain
Hills located in the Mc Dowell Mountains is prized for its solitude and beauty.

East Valley: This part of the valley in comprised of Tempe,
Mesa, Chandler,
and Gilbert. Tempe is the home the Arizona State University. Mesa, is
Arizona's third-largest city. Chandler is coming out to be a home for families
and high-tech manufacturing firms. Gilbert is an outlying farming area that is
being built to suit families.
West Valley: The west valley is defined by Glendale, Peoria,
Avondale,
Goodyear, Tolleson, Litchfield Park, Buckeye, Sun City/Sun City West and
Surprise.
